Ambientha gave me the task of creating a whole scenery for a kids' room wallpaper... that's hoW ELF was born. Inspired by the woods in the northern Italian mountains, where I spent my childhood summers, I used my colored pencils to draw woodland creatures like foxes, squirrels, deers and rabbits, as well as trees, plants, mushrooms and flowers. After scanning my illustrations, I arranged them into a large composition using Photoshop. The finishing touch was a subtle textured background, also created with pencils, to give more depth to the whole artwork. In addition to the multicolored version, we created two more versions: one in the shades of green and the other in the shades of brown.
