What is Art Licensing?

Licensing can be defined as a type of rental agreement. For a specified period, you are granted permission to use a pattern or illustration that I created for your products.

Licensing can be non-exclusive, meaning other clients may also use the same artwork, or exclusive, where you can claim the artwork solely for your use within one or more product categories for a defined period.

Another licensing option is a full buyout. In this case, you purchase the artwork for a fixed fee, and it becomes exclusively yours forever, giving you the freedom to use it repeatedly, even across various products.

I have a wide selection of patterns and standalone illustrations available for licensing or buyout, that can explore upon request.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you work on commission?

I love working on commission! There’s nothing quite like creating something custom just for you.

Whether you are an individual, a small business, or a large brand, I can provide you with a digital file created from my hand-drawn illustrations. You can then print this on any object you want, as many times as you like.

Typically, I first deliver a black-and-white draft for your approval. Once approved, I work on the colored versions and send them to you for further approval. When everything meets your expectations, I deliver the final, ready-to-use digital file.

What workshops do you offer?

I offer both in-person and online workshops on botanical illustrations with colored pencils and art therapy. I strongly believe in the power of art to bring healing and comfort to our lives. We all need to nurture our inner gardens, and that is precisely the aim of my workshops—helping you care for your inner self.

No previous knowledge of pencil drawing or specific tools is required. That's right—my workshops are open to everyone! For in-person sessions, I always ensure that all necessary materials are provided.

I enjoy collaborating with shops, community spaces, restaurants, and hotels to create the best learning experiences for you. Most of my in-person workshops take place in my city, Milan, but I love traveling and sharing my art in different locations. I am open to hosting workshops, art retreats, and creative experiences not only in Italy but also abroad.

Although I don't have a full online course yet—it's in the works!—I regularly host Zoom drawing sessions and Instagram live events, often collaborating with other artists.

Additionally, I offer one-on-one lessons, both in-person and online, upon request.

How do you make art?

I create exclusively traditional art. All my illustrations, from flowers to animals, are hand-drawn with colored pencils. This is the only medium I use. As a self-taught illustrator, I learned to draw flowers by referencing botanical illustration books. Today, I prefer to find inspiration in my own photos of flowers and plants, taken during my travels around the world or while exploring the parks of my city, Milan, in Italy.

To arrange my illustrations into patterns, I scan them in high resolution onto my laptop and create the patterns using Affinity. The process is the same for my standalone illustrations: after scanning them, I polish them using Photoshop. By creating digital files in this way, I ensure they can be printed on a wide range of products.

Which subjects do you draw?

All my creations are inspired by nature. Flowers are my first love, but I also draw a variety of animals, plants, mushrooms, fruits, and vegetables. For flowers and plants, I often use photos I take during my travels or while exploring the parks of my city. Occasionally, I draw plants and food from life, though I don't do this as often as I'd like due to the challenge of changing light and shadows. Sometimes, I find references in books or on the internet, but I always ensure to create something unique in my signature style.

I don't draw portraits. While my portfolio includes a few sketchy, fairy-like figures, this is not something I typically do. On the other hand, creating pet portraits is always a real joy for me.
